The cost guides on this site are researched, written, and maintained by the same people who run Pahrump AC Repair — not by the contractors we refer to, and not by anyone with a stake in what a particular quote comes back at. That separation is deliberate. A contractor writing their own price guide has an obvious reason to shade the numbers; we do not.
We are researchers and matchmakers, not technicians. We do not hold a Nevada contractor license and we do not perform HVAC work — so where the guides describe what happens inside a system, we are reporting what licensed techs and industry cost data tell us, not speaking from the truck. Where we cannot verify something, we leave it out and say so. The Nye County permit fee is a current example: we could not source a 2026 figure from an official Town of Pahrump or Nye County source, so our permits page publishes no dollar amount and tells you to confirm with the building department instead.
